News Brief: 2/20 – 2/24

To some this was a rough, long week, but to others this was a short, eventful week. Kicking off on Monday, we had an extra day off to celebrate President’s Day- a nice day to catch up on all episodes of your favorite Netflix franchise or to see family. Tuesday, the Color Guard got a score of 54.29 at their competition. Meanwhile, cheerleading tryouts are coming up, and the clinic check up is in March. Wednesday, there was an announcement with FFA questions all week where students could win a prize if they answered correctly. Also starting was the coin war and the first meeting of Improv Club. Thursday, there was a mention of dance tryouts coming up soon, along with a memo asking students to send in their talents on video to Tamara Houston, 11. Finally the day we all have been waiting for, Friday, SPUB went to Lawrence for a KSPA competition, while the basketball players had a game in Ottawa.
