The High School spirit store, once pronounced dead, has risen. Ms. Maynes and her 7th hour, leadership class, have been hard at work to put the store back on the map. The students participating in the class have helped gather and organize old spirit wear from a few years back like old SADD club t-shirts and bronco pride shirts from years prior. Do not fret though, the spirit shack will not just be selling old merchandise but they will also be selling some of their own merchandise. The school store already has one of their very own pieces for sale, a black long sleeve t-shirt that reads “Spring Hill High Broncos” in front of a larger “SH.” Ms. Maynes designed the t-shirt herself and with the help of Mr. Reinking they were able to actually print the t-shirts to sell in the school store.

The designs of soon-to-be sold t-shirts available at the spirit shack will hopefully include pieces designed by the students involved in the leadership class themselves and not just the creations of Ms. Maynes. Maynes is encouraging the students participating in the class to design new shirts that the school store could possibly sell allowing the students to show their creative side. This would also allow the students in the leadership class to become more involved with both the class and school spirit in general.

The students participating and enrolled in the leadership class are required to work the school story during either bronco hour part A or part B on days that the store is open. The store is looking to be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays and being run by Ms. Maynes and the kids participating in her leadership class. “I assume we will be required to work at least 2 shifts a month or something close to that,” Cole Henson, 11, said.

The spirit shack is not only the place to go when you want school spirit wear but also fatheads. The spirit shack will proudly make you a fathead of whoever you would like. “You can buy a fat head in the school store for around $10. You just fill out a slip and send them the picture you would like to be made into a fathead and then Mr. Reinking will print and laminate your fathead for you,” Henson said.

The spirit shack is finally back and it’s time for the students in the high school to get excited again for the spirit wear behind all the school spirit. You can follow the spirit shack on twitter @shspiritshack for updates for available merchandise and when they will be open!
