Melissa Reinhart
Melissa Reinhart teaches Chemistry, Physics and Integrated Science. This is her first year teaching in public school.
“I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005. I will have a Masters of Education in Teaching by next spring from Emporia State University.
I spent five years teaching and helping direct a homeschool enrichment program where I taught Chemistry and Algebra 1 and 2. This is my first year teaching public school.
I have learned a tremendous amount this semester; from the mundane like technology Goodbye PC, Hello Mac!, to the extraordinary like how students’ brains process new information and how to make that information interesting and understandable.
Next semester I am excited for a fresh start with some more experience under my belt. I look forward to improving as a teacher everyday and trying new things that will help my students be successful.
I plan to continue teaching at Spring Hill High School Though teaching is a difficult job, the value is unmatched in any other profession I have considered. I love my students and getting to be part of their education journey keeps me coming back, mostly bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, every morning.”
