On Tuesday Aug. 27, KMBC 9 News came to the high school to celebrate teachers and kick off the start of the school year. StuCo, Cheer, Band, Colorguard, and many other students showed up at 6:30 a.m. to represent the school and show their Bronco Pride. Teachers recieved bags and mugs from KMBC as a token of appreciation for all the work that they do. Johnny Rowlands, KMBC News reporter, landed their helicopter behind the school and was met at the chopper by the band’s drum majors. The band performed the opener for their marching show Embers, the fight song, and followed it all up by dancing and cheering to a drumline cadence.
This was a very exciting event for students and teachers alike. Students had the opportunity to show off their hard work and their school pride on live television which is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, this event was an incredible opportunity to celebrate teachers and all the work that they do for the future of these student’s lives.
