Super Typhoon Yagi has wreaked havoc across the North of Vietnam, giving way to flooding and landslides leaving millions of people without power and defenseless. On Monday, the Phong Chau bridge in Phu Tho province in Vietnam gave way, leading to several vehicles being plunged into the water below the bridge. As of now, the storm has weakened, but it is said to create more chaos as it travels westward.
More than 240 people have been injured by the typhoon, and at least 44 people have been killed. Among them were a one-year old boy, a 68 year-old women, and a newborn baby. In other provinces, such as the Yen Bai, water have reached 3 feet. As global warming increases, typhoons bring more intense conditions, increasing the wind and rainfall.
