This Wednesday, Sept. 25, students gathered on the walkway into the school during PLC to help create a classic homecoming tradition. Chalk the Walk has been a fall homecoming tradition for years, where students decorate a spot on the concrete to show spirit and support for their activity. From choral to tennis, students involved in each sport or club will come and design a fun doodle for their interest.
“I think that it brings a sense of community to the school and gives people a chance to connect with one and other within their club and with other clubs too,” Ashlynn Smith, 11, said.
Events like Chalk the Walk bring together the communities within the school, and make annual dances more than just a short event.
