Ken Page, voice and screen actor, passed away peacefully at 70 in their St. Louis home on Monday morning. Page’s death was confirmed by Dorian Hannaway, longtime friend. Page was a St. Louis community member who arrived on the New York theater scene in 1975, which later led them into a replacement role for the Lion in “The Wiz.” In the next year, they was granted another role in two different films.
Ken Page was widely known for being in different films, however, the most well known film was “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. Page often was found revisiting this film on video games or halloween celebrations. Their love was forever found on stage and they made a point by explaining to others their words of wisdom. They quoted on stage at a show saying, “I want to give people joy,” when asked, “Why do you still do it?”
