Hurricane Milton, a category five storm, is headed toward the west coast of Florida. The wind speeds fell from 180 mph to 155 mph earlier in the morning on Oct. 9 and have continued to fall moderately since. However, this does not mean that the storm will not be dangerous. Milton is expected to be even more threatening when it makes it to Florida’s west-central coast.
Many residents are still struggling to recover from Helene, and with Milton on the way, more states are going to need help getting back on their feet. The states Helene trekked through are expected to take years to recover. There are numerous organizations and charities raising money to help those affected by these tragic storms. Help support and donate to the cause.
