Bath and Body works created a winter-themed candle called “Snowed in” which caused a lot of controversy. On the label of the candle, it has a Paper snowflake That has five pointed sides with two holes cut out for where the eyes would be. The representation of the snowflake had negative public perception as it had comparisons to the Klu Klux Klan.
Once the comparison was drawn, Bath and Body works stopped selling the candle online and in stores. Their apology consisted of making it known that this was an unintentional mistake and they would be taking action to fix it. They also apologized for anyone they offended And that they will look into this process to make sure it does not happen again.
