This past Saturday, Oct. 26, the varsity girls and boys cross country teams ran at BVSW and competed in regionals for a chance to run in the state meet on Nov. 2. Both teams qualified for state, the boys earning a plaque and cruising to a 2nd place finish, while the girls finished in 3rd.
Individual medalist for the girls, Alexis Howard, 10, said, “The [state] meet is a chance to showcase all of the hard work we’ve put in throughout the season. I’m excited for the opportunity to compete.”
Additionally, the boys team hopes to medal as a team at state. They have a chance to finish at the top of 5A.
