On Jan. 7 wildfires began to spread across southern California. A week later the fires continue to spread across the state, threatening homes, businesses, and wildlife in the state. As the state continues to experience dry and windy weather, the odds of containment are low.
As of Jan. 14 the death toll has increased to 24 fatalities and is expected to rise in the coming days. Evacuation orders are expected to rise as well pushing more than 90,000 people. In the coming days those in the Los Angeles areas should expect changing evacuation orders.
