State wide, the first and second week of April is a time for sophomores and juniors to take on Kansas State Testing. The week of March 31, students were instructed to complete state math and science testing for sophomores and juniors. While during the week of April 7, students will have time to complete the state english test for both classes. High school classes have been moved to a block scheduling system, where odd class periods are on Monday and Thursdays, and students even class periods are on Tuesday and Friday, ending the day with a grade level activity.
Being on the new block scheduling can benefit others with the work.
“I like [block schedule] and enjoy it a lot better, it gives me more time with the teacher to get my work done and be able to ask questions.” said Kinsley Rodden, 11.
