Serbia struggles with population declines. Near empty villages, abandoned homes, and crumbling homes are all over Serbia. It is estimated that their population will fall to 5.3 million by 2050. The Serbia government says “We lose around 103 less people every day.” Neighborhoods are near ghost towns because of the lack of residence. Many neighborhoods only have 8 residents. It’s only a matter of time.
