Give Me Toilet Paper or Give Me Death!

If I don't have enough toilet paper, I will scream (photo submitted by A.Bates).

In the past, I had asked my parents if I could be homeschooled, the reason being I had so much stress related to fitting in.  I needed a break from society for a while and my prayers were answered in a sense. When school did turn online my parents have joked saying things such as, “This is perfect for you!” The reality is, I want to go back to school.

I want to go outside and interact with my friends face-to-face. I feel like I’m missing out on so many opportunities that could’ve been available to me if I wasn’t confined to my house. Along with my newfound appreciation for in-person school I’ve discovered a new fear as well: the fear of running out of toilet paper. I have nine members of my family. As images of empty shelves where the toilet paper once was left the internet and entered my very real life, my parents instituted a new rule due to the drought of toilet paper in stores. You can use 4-8 squares depending on the situation. It’s absolutely insane that I have to count how many toilet paper squares I am using because everyone went and bought toilet paper for quarantine. While I did pray for some time to be alone, I never asked for a toilet paper shortage.

I never knew the root of my stress would be toilet paper.

I just want to know that there’s going to be a roll available when I need it and I don’t want to find out what will happen if there isn’t a roll around.
