Day Two – Focus On COVID-19

On his first full day in office Biden’s executive orders focused primarily on his response to COVID-19. In his efforts he required masks on all domestic and international travel, while expanding the federal government’s ability to make decisions, specifically data-driven decisions. Additionally, he established the COVID-19 Health Equity Task force, meant to help with inequalities that have been further increased due to the pandemic. Finally, he established a COVID-19 Pandemic testing board, meant to help with the test process and provide free tests to those who need it and whose insurance covers it.
