A hospital in Italy has been overrun by virus variants and continues to grow as a problem. 90% of hospital beds are filled due to patients with the U.K. variant of COVID-19. Italy has over 100,000 pandemic deaths as of Monday, which marked one year since their lockdown. Having hundreds of deaths every day, their death rate is staying stubbornly high, forcing students to learn online. Dr. Gabriele Zanolini, the main director of the COVID ward, said that the only way out of this virus and increased death is the COVID-19 vaccine.

While the U.S. is starting to heal, there are places still suffering and struggling to stay healthy. Hospitals all over are unable to keep beds open for incoming patients, because of COVID-19 and other injuries and illnesses.
