California Experiences Yet Another Wildfire
Fires around Lake Tahoe in California were thought to be under control by the end of the week; however, this is not the case. Around 22,000 South Lake Tahoe residents had to evacuate their homes. This fire is known as the Caldor fire.
Authorities believe it could have been easily ended if the Dixie fire, which ranged 100 miles, wasn’t also going on at the same time. Majority of the firefighters, machinery, and other resources were being acquired at the Dixie fire. The Caldor fire has been going on since Aug.14, and still has not been put to an end.
