Inspiration4 Makes Mission to Space
SpaceX’s project “Inspiration 4” successfully landed in Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Sept. 18 at 7:06 p.m. EDT. With only “minor inconveniences”, The Falcon 9 rocket orbited Earth for three days, launching on Sept. 15 at 8:02 p.m. EDT. The goal of Inspiration 4 was to expand the possibilities of human exploration and its availability, while also to raise money and awareness for cancer, funding St. Jude’s hospital.
The crew members who were elected for the mission represent leadership, hope, prosperity, and generosity, commanded by Jard Isaacman, jet pilot and founder of Shift4. The success of the mission raised over 110 million dollars, as well as an additional 50 million dollars donated by Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX. The completion of the Inspiration4 mission suggests a future where space travel becomes more available to the public, at least for the wealthy.
