Voting Begins for the Midterm Election

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, final voting for the midterm election began. There were no major reported problems that morning. However, in Pennsylvania some counties had incorrect dates or missing signatures on their mail in ballots that brought some confusion and legal issues in the state. Going into Tuesday, approximately 44.5 million people had already cast their ballots.

There seems to be an increasing factor of how people vote based on their party affiliation. Some skepticism of mail-in voting has pushed Republicans to stray away from it or wait until the last minute to send their ballot in. There hasn’t been any proof of widespread fraud in the 2020 election, however there is still uncertainty in the votes some people have cast.
