Scientists Discover Two Million Year Old DNA

Scientists discovered DNA that revealed what life was like in Greenland two million years ago. Before, Greenland was a frigid, frosty desert, but back then it was a landscape of trees and forests with a surplus of different animals. DNA samples are hard to come by in Greenland, so they extracted a certain type of DNA in the soil called eDNA. Millions of years ago, Greenland was experiencing an extreme period of climate change, and during the warm period, they believe they found a specific DNA sample that  may be able to help the population adapt to the climate change the world is experiencing.

As science and technology advance over the years, the scientists may be able to use the new found knowledge to help the citizens overcome climate change. Climate change could result in genetic mutations that would be detrimental to human health. The scientists are working hard to combat the climate change that humans have created over the past 50 years, and if everyone pitched in to do their part in stopping climate change, the world could be changed for the better.
