Sixteen Objects Holocaust Exhibit
Israel’s Yad Vashem Holocaust museum is celebrating their 70th anniversary and the 78th anniversary of Auschwitz liberation. To celebrate, they opened a new exhibit in Berlin, Germany called Sixteen Objects. This exhibit exemplifies all 16 states in Germany by showing 16 important artifacts from the Holocaust. Things like a black piano, a diary, and even a stethoscope are shown; each of these have their own story.
Lore Mayerfeld was one of the Holocaust survivors that took part in this exhibit. When she escaped from the Nazis, she was only four years old and escaping with her mother and her doll. Inge, the doll, was donated by Mayerfeld and was one of the 50,000 items chosen to tell the story of their life during the Holocaust.
