Alleged Poisoning Attacks on Iranian All-Girls Schools
For months, hundreds of students in all-girls Iranian schools have experienced attacks of alleged poisonous fumes being channeled into their classrooms. In their initial occurrences, it was reported that Iran’s theocratic government disregarded the incidents. However, Iran’s government is now recognizing these attacks as intentional pursuances. By local media reports, 30 schools were acknowledged to have been affected by these intentional attacks.
Among many speculations, some believe that these attacks could be aimed at the attempt of closing schools for girls in the country. With the alleged poisonous fumes being distinguished, many of these students have ended up in hospitals. Children have reported many symptoms of fatigue and having smelled unusual scents of chlorine, tangerines, and antiseptic-type chemicals. Iranian officials are beginning to take these claims into consideration and there are hopes that these attacks could be put to an end.
