Protest over Hiring of Myles Cosgrove
In Louisville, Ky, former police officer Myles Cosgrove, was hired for a new law enforcement job after shooting Breonna Taylor in 2020. Taylor was killed when the police, including Cosgrove, conducted a narcotics search. Cosgrove was fired for violating use-of-force procedures.
This resulted in Cosgrove only being allowed to apply for law enforcement jobs within the state. After hearing about Cosgrove’s new law enforcement job, many were unhappy. A protest was held in Carroll County in reference to his hiring.
