Early Monday morning, a car driving on Ward Parkway drove over the curb and crashed into a tree. The passenger is in critical condition and the driver was dead at the scene. According to the Kansas City Police Department, this was the 64th road fatality this year.
Last year during this time their was 62 road fatalitys. The driver was speeding before the crash happened, which happens to be the largest cause of road fatalities. Although it might be just 5 miles over the speed limit and ‘not a big deal’, it can kill someone or yourself.
