Teen in Kansas Donates Toys to Children

In 2022, there was a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School that killed 21 people, majority of which were children. For months, a 17-year-old named Sammie Magee, collected toys. She delivered them to Ulvade this past weekend.

Magee had stated that she wanted them to know that they had love and support from Kansas City. During her time in Texas, Magee visited some memorials and even met families affected by the school shooting. She ended up donating 13 boxes filled with toys.

Hi! I’m Faye Dent and this is my second year in SPUB. In my first year I improved my writing and interviewing skills, and I’m excited to capitalize on that this year! I’m the lead copy editor for the publications, and I’m really excited to not only edit but work with my copy editing team! My interests in SPUB are more geared toward writing and editing, but I truly enjoy every aspect that SPUB has to offer.
