The last few days have really been a rollercoaster with our weather and a lot has changed in the last 12 hours! Records were broken on Monday and Tuesday, the previous Monday record was 76 degrees in 1896, a 128 year old record! This kind of heat is not typical for February. The new record is now 77 degrees.

On Tuesday, the cold front was here before we knew it, but not before we managed to set another 2016 record high of 73 degrees. On Tuesday, we reached 73 degrees at 2:40 P.M. before the temperature dropped rapidly. Between 4-6 P.M. The community could really feel the temperature dropping quickly. Around 10 P.M. the temperature dropped to 54 degrees and finally dropped to 19 degrees. This is the fourth largest daily temperature drop in history!

Hi! I’m McKenna Estes and this is my first year in SPUB. I took Journalism last year, but I'm so excited for the new opportunities. I’m interested in a lot of the aspects in SPUB, but my main focus is taking pictures and meeting tons of new people. I’m most excited for making a difference in the school and making more things known, but I’m also excited to be a part of the whole SPUB community. Journalism matters to me because it plays a big role in most schools and people don't recognize it as much as they should, a lot of things would go unnoticed if it wasn't for us. I can't wait for such an awesome year!
