HOSA’s (Health Occupations Students of America) spring service project is in full swing. The club is hosting a First Aid Kit Drive. Items including band-aids, gauzes, elastic bandages, ice/heat packs, and more will be collected in carts at the front entrance of the school.
“I hope that kids buy in, whether that’s enough to make 10 kits or that’s enough to make 50 kits. I just hope that kids take the advantage of the opportunity to give back to the community and see it as something different,” Emily Veer, HOSA sponsor.
This is HOSA’s second service project and the club has hopes to expand in the future.
“If you are doing service projects then your club is making an impact. It also gets your club more out there and shows people that it exists. A lot of people don’t know about HOSA and by doing this people are going to be more aware of it and know that we actually do things,” Audyn Deterding, 11.
