Starting March 31, the high school will be doing two weeks straight of block scheduling. “I think our approach here is that we’re trying to make sure that the students take the test seriously and we want to provide them the best testing environment,” said Gissel McDonald, instructional coach.
McDonald explained that doing testing during normal class hours can cause students to go through their tests quickly and not take their time. “Our hope is that it will increase test scores. This is our first time we’re doing it, so I can’t tell you that for sure, but that certainly is our hope,” said McDonald.
