  • The Lady Bronco’s are lining up just before a serve. The Cyclones are preparing defenses during this second round. If lost then the Bronco’s are guaranteed the win.

  • Mariah Hess, 11, looked over to the ref before serving to make sure everyone was ready. The front row of Broncos were their discussing positions and preparing for an assist if needed.

  • The front defensive row of the Cyclones has stopped the serve at the beginning of round three. Jalyn Stevenson, 11, was up front to set return spike.

  • A time out was called allowing the teams to devise a plan.

  • After being spiked over Mariah Hess, 11, dived for the ball saving it for just a second to earn her team some time. In the background of the game the gasps of the student section could be heard.

  • Jalyn Stevenson, 11, served the ball which was met by Ottawa’s defense. The student section has held there cheers of encouragement until after the ball was served.

  • The Lady Broncos started off there first home game against Ottawa the evening of Sept. third with a swift gain of points. Front row has Alli Frank, 11, mid air just after her hit, returning the ball to the other side, scoring a point.

  • Ottawa just served the ball over the net and the Lady Bronco’s are there awaiting it arrival.

  • Daphine Gardner, 9, one of two freshmen on the varsity team, sets the ball up for Jalyn Stevenson, 11, to spike over the net. A quick, in the moment action that proved well, earning yet another point.

  • A quick huddle halfway through round one, Lady Broncos were in the lead with little to spare. Erica Book, head coach and first grade teacher at Wolf Creek, gave some advice to the team before heading back into battle with the Ottawa Cyclones.

  • Jordyn Anderson, 10, set the ball for Daphne Gardner, 9, to spike over the net just past the awaiting Cyclones. Teamwork is a trait bound in the sport.

  • The Lady Bronco’s huddle up during a round three time out to discuss the plan to finish off Ottawa. All listen to Couch Book before breaking.
