NASA Announces First Moon Crew in Five Decades

NASA announced their four astronauts planned to fly around the moon next year. A mission like this has not been done in 50 years, and two of these astronauts are even more significantly honorable. This crew includes the first woman and African American sent to the moon on a lunar mission.
What makes this mission even more significant is the fact that these four astronauts will be the first to be sent into space via NASA’s Orion capsule; this capsule is anticipated to send astronauts further into space than what has previously been possible. This mission is planned to take place within the Kennedy Space Center in late 2024.
