On Monday, April 27, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi visited President Vladimir Putin for negotiations regarding the US-Israel war on Iran. Putin pledged to do everything in his power to serve the interests of Araghchi’s people and achieve peace.

No matter people’s stances on the actions of any nation in this war, most agree that peace is favorable to the violence. The promise of peace is inspiring for all families and people affected by the violence and the war, and it is important at times like these to follow the progress of negotiations. As citizens of a democratic nation, we must stay informed.

Journalism is something I have always loved to explore, whether that be reading local newspapers/stories or editing anything I can get my hands on. I believe journalism provides everyday people with the voice they need to make a difference, and that is why it is so important to our society. Everyone deserves to be heard, and everyone needs to listen to each other. I am super excited to develop my writing skills and help people understand both sides of a story. Along with SPUB, I am involved in Scholar’s bowl and swim. Outside of school, I love to read, play guitar, and hang out with my friends and family. I am so excited for my second year in SPUB!
