Well known for their role as Professor Minerva McGonagall in “Harry Potter” and the dowager countess in “Downton Abbey,” the two-time Oscar winner Maggie Smith died peacefully this morning at the age of 89. For their final days, Smith stayed in the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital alongside her family, who has requested privacy at this time.
