This Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, eight forensics members will compete in Wichita at the state tournament. Competing members include: Kailey Howell, 12, Ashlynn Smith, 12, Trystan Wood, 12, William Hutchcraft, 12, Jackson Roberts, 11, Kusayla Aggur, 10, Ryker Marmon, 10, and Reese Saylor, 10.
To qualify for state forensics, one must place first or second at a competition during the season. Marmon will be competing in an acting and a speaking event and feels optomistic about the team’s chances. “I believe the team will do well, and it’s good [for team growth] to go to state,” he said.
