On Monday, Nov. 17, winter sports tryouts started throughout the school, with official teams planned to be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Teams have been preparing for this season all throughout the summer and spring, and Isla Herman, 12 was no exception. “I stayed in physical shape to help with tryouts this week, and I’ve been keeping my shot good and all my body mechanics correct,” Herman said. The girls basketball team is hoping to make it back to the state tournament in March, led by Herman and other upperclassmen.
