“[Future Bronco Night] is for incoming freshmen and their parents to learn about enrollment and goals for the future,” said Debra Woofter, counselor. Woofter explained that the intention is for the eighth graders to learn what their options are for next year.
“I think it’s good for [families] to hear ‘It’s okay. It’s gonna be alright. We’ll walk you through everything,’ because I think a lot of times eighth grade parents are very nervous about high school,” said Woofter. Often students and parents have worries when going into high school, but Future Bronco Night can answer their questions and concerns, guide them through the enrollment process, and inform them about the classes they can or are required to take.
