Several wrestlers are heading to Wichita to compete at the KSHSAA 5A state championships. Allison Terry will be competing in the 135-pound weight class; this marks her first time coming to state as she was a manager last year. “I’m excited,” Terry said “but I’m little scared because there’s a lot of people there. I’m ready to go out and do my best.”
State qualifications highlight the amount of dedication and hard work student athletes put in to their sport. Achievements like this should be celebrated properly and they should not be taking lightly because for some people it is a once in a life event. It can even inspire other students to compete themselves.
