The high school will celebrate its student-athletes at College Signing Night tonight, April 15, at 6 p.m. in the main gym.
The event recognizes seniors who have committed to continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level and highlights their achievements as they prepare for life after graduation.
Each participating student will be provided a six-foot table to decorate and personalize for the event. College coaches are welcome to attend, and high school coaches will give speeches during the program.
Arabella Brewer, 12, shared that they are singing for Olympic weightlifting at MidAmerica Nazarene University.
“Signing night is when you get to show the high school or fellow students where you are signing for sport or athletic participation in college,” Brewer said.
Brewer added that the event also helps younger students see what their peers are working toward after high school.
“I think this gives [seniors] a way to represent what they are doing and where they are going to college,” Brewer said. “It allows other students to understand or see what they are doing in their future.”
