Over eighty women have accused film tycoon Harvey Weintstein of sexually assaulting them, and his trial is officially underway. He has been accused of rape and predatory sexual assault, and six women have been called to testify against him. If he is found guilty, he could be faced with life in prison.

Back in 2017, the #MeToo movement gained popularity after Ashley Judd became the first actress to come forward and verbally accuse Weinstein of sexual misconduct. The hashtag quickly spread as more women began to accuse men of assault, ending the careers of celebrities like Matt Lauer. The solidarity that these women found encouraged others to come forward, helping put sexual predators behind bars…it is hoped, by these women, that the same thing happens to Weinstein.
