Failed New Mexico Republican candidate, Solomon Pena, was arrested Monday night due to his drive-by shootings of Democratic lawmaker candidates’ homes. Authorities say he made baseless claims about how the previous November elections were “rigged” against him. No one was injured in the shootings, but three bullets passed through Sen. Linda Lopez’s 10-year-old daughter’s window.

After the election, Pena showed up at elected official’s homes with documents he claimed proved his victory in the election. Shortly after these conversations, the shooting began. Pena wasn’t alone, in fact, four men helped him. Pena is accused of paying the four men by cash to carry out two of the drive-by shootings in stolen vehicles, but Pena “pulled the trigger”, as told by Deputy Police Commander Kyle Hartstock.
