The citizens of France gather to protest the raising of the retirement age from 62 to 64. Although the French government said that this is the only way to make up for the high life expectancy, the people feel like this diminishes their earned rights. More than 200 rallies are expected to be protesting, and essential workers, such as teachers and electricians, are deciding to go on strike. The French government will be presenting the pension bill on Monday and the strikes may be able to influence the decision.

People throughout history have protested the unjust laws and decisions that the government has made. France has had many rebellions, such as the French Revolution. If the citizens fear that they are not treated fairly, the conflict could become bigger than just protests.
