On March 27, at 10:15 a.m. Nashville police received a call reporting an active shooter at the Covenant School. Fifteen minutes following the call, the police had killed the shooter, who was later identified as 28-year-old woman Audrey Hale. Hale’s victims included three teachers and three nine-year-old girls. During investigation, police found a map and the route that Hale drew up at her home; however, there has been no determined motive. Hale was a former student of the school, but there are no known current affiliations there.

Following this event, there has been continued uproar on both sides of the political conflict. Events like these have encouraged people to use their voices to change the current legislature in many states. Tragic events like these must find an end to protect the future of the nation.
