Steve Kueny, a native of Missouri, started his journey across the Kansas- Missouri river in a 1300 pound pumpkin filled with sandbags at the bottom for stability; he started just after 7:00 AM yesterday. To cross the river, he would need to travel 38 miles.
His goal was to cross before sundown.

Kueny aimed to do this to break a Guinness World Record for Pumpkin Paddling. While floating across a river in a pumpkin seems like an easy task, he is placed a whole lot of faith in the durability of the pumpkin. Even getting the pumpkin of that size is a task.
