Olathe Northwest High School needs to test 425 people after one student was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Although the exposure was just discovered it is said to have been infectious last spring. 25 students at a time will make their way into the testing area set up inside of the school to check if they have TB.

The school held a parents only meeting with the health department so that the parents are made aware of this situation. TB is not spread by touch. It is spread through coughing, sneezing, laughing, and talking. Symptoms can include, coughing longer than three weeks, unexplained weight loss, night sweats, fever, and coughing up blood.

Hey! My name is Rylee. I am a sophomore and this is my first year in SPUB. I love all things journalism. Photography, writing, and graphic design. I am beyond excited to get to share my love for journalism with everyone else. Outside of SPUB I cheer and wrestle for the school. I believe journalism is an awesome way for students to express themselves and show their views and opinions with everyone else! Aside from my in school activities I love baking, making bracelets, traveling, and being with my pets!
