Miami County Editor Visits Haunted House

Somerset Schoolhouse was originally built in 1850, and then turned into a residence. Since then, it has been renovated as The Whiskey Bar. The building is known to have a male spirit living under the stairs of the main floor and has been there from when the building was a living space. Employees say that they can sense the presence of the spirit.

The Miami Country sports editor, Gene Morris, decided to spend the night at the schoolhouse. On the night of Oct. 27, they stayed from 6pm to 4pm. Morris says that more than once they thought they heard somebody walking around upstairs, but when they checked nobody was there. They also said that they heard eerie noises of wood cracking from the employees only room. Morris trusted their gut and refused to go into the room. Morris also reported that their camera flash stopped working, and their cellular phone was acting up as well.
