Buckingham palace reported that King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer on Feb. 5th. Although, Buckingham Palace is not revealing much information beyond that. The cancer was found during an appointment regarding his enlarged prostate. Despite his recent diagnosis, King Charles claims to be in good spirits.
Since the diagnosis, the king has postponed public duties. If the public duties are postponed long enough, “Councellors of state” are to stand in place of the monarch, such as the Vice Presidents in the United States. While foreign politics are seemingly unimportant, it is important to stay informed about it because It affects United State’s foreign relations.
