Temperatures are at their lowest since the Great Freeze of February 2021, with extremely cold weather conditions spreading through the metro. The temperature has dropped to -10 degrees or lower for four days in a row since Tuesday morning. This cold front is the second longest stretch of cold weather, back in December 1983 it was below -10 degrees for five days in a row.
These cold temperatures have turned deadly. Even just stepping outside is getting hard for most. With such cold temperatures peoples crops won’t be able to come back for the year. People’s pipes are freezing inside their homes making water not available for their use. A lot of people in the Kansas/ Missouri areas have gone out for the day making their home just as old as outside.
