Edgar Allen Poe’s short story, “The Fall of the House of Usher”, has recently been turned into a series on Netflix released this Oct. 12th, 2023. This series has got me hooked from the first episode, with a dangerously compelling plot and an amazing cast.

The story follows a brother and sister’s pharmaceutical company that had built into an empire of wealth. The brother, Rodrick Usher, is the father to six children, most of which have separate mothers. However, when secrets come to light the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying in peculiar ways.

It might be one of my favorite shows as of late, with the twisted dark plot that never left me hanging. Fair warning though, the blood and gore is intense and there is much more that may be appropriate for some viewers but it all goes along with the spider web of the story the Usher family twists.

With a TV-MA rating and a five star rating from me, I suggest to check in with a loved one, grab some popcorn, and settle in for an eerie and exceptionally unique 8 episode series.
